Manja Ristic was born in Belgrade in 1979.

She graduated from the Belgrade Music Academy as a violinist and then gained her postgraduate diploma at the Royal College of Music in London.

INTERVIEW WITH MANJA RISTIC :

 

 

 

Manja Ristić(1979), BA Belgrade Music Academy – instrument violin; PGDip Royal College of Music London – Solo/Ensemble Recitalist. As a solo and chamber musician performed in concert venues throughout the UK, France, Austria, Holland, Denmark, Belgium, Germany, Slovenia, Italy, Hungary, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. In 2004 founder of the Association of Multimedia Artists AUROPOLIS. Apart from being a professional violin player she is a multimedia as well as interdisciplinary artist (exhibiting and performing both in Serbia and abroad), then, a cultural worker (‘Auropolis’ association project manager, NOFM web radio project manager, Supernova publishing house founder, A Soul for Europe E.E.I.G. Strategy group member); educator, radio host, contemporary music producer and a published poet. Author of 119 Web Streaming Poetry – world anthology and web portal in 45+ languages. In 2010 she was appointed as one of the six artists to present Serbian Pavilion at the Prague Quadrennial of Scene Arts, within a platform for holographic performances. In 2011 she worked as a Programme adviser at the Cultural Institution “Parobrod”.

Presently Manja is focused on development of improvisational music scene in Belgrade, then, interdisciplinary project ‘Virtual Museum of Transformation’ which involves transactive psychotherapy ‘Transgenerational traumas and the Family Order’ as well as development of Supernova PH and NOFM Independent Internet Radio.
